No lie here.  I hit 162 in my 02 Trans Am WS6 a few years ago.  It was in Texas between San Angelo and Abilene on rt 87 between Mason and Loyal Valley.

I will tell you at those speeds, you can get spooked real quick and I wold not recommend it unless you are on a closed controlled course.  I kick myself for doing it... but it was fun.

I had a 2004 BMW 540i that I had up to 130, and a Kawasaki ZX-10 Ninja that I had up to 165, but the fastest I've ever gone didn't involve a vehicle. I took up skydiving from 1996 to 2000. When you go into a tracking position, in free fall, you hit about 190. Greatest rush you'll ever experience.

I've only hit 131 in my vette, but it should go to 180 or so. I plan on finding out in the future.
I've hit 135 in my friend's STi.

I dont think i'd ever try to go that fast.
So, so far the fastest driven in a car is 162. Has anyone gone FASTER?

Wow. You friend sounds like a good driver if he can keep under control at 180+. Think i should add some numbers into the poll cause everyone is above 100+ haha.

I hope that 30k in mods also meant a new transmission or new gearing, seeing as the STi is gearing limited in the 150mph range.

yea his car is hooked up

running straight 4" exhaust now from the turbo back...

hes got it set up with maps, so with his laptop he can put it in stock mode... and have about 300hp..

funny story though with the Lambo........

we werent expecting to race, and this lambo was messin with us, so were like ok lets go.. started at about 100mph and the lambo blew by us cuz we goverend out a about 150.....
so we wait a bit, and while hes driving about 90 i switch it to what he calls "beat anyone mode" and it switchs to his other gas tank running 100 octane and opens up the flood gates...
so we roll back up to this guy and hes laughing with his buddy in the passenger seat so im talkin crap out my window and he gives us the wave and does the 3 honks. well we fly by him and get about 5 car lengths in the matter of 10 seconds.... we topped it out at 186 or else we'd gone further. that was about 10,000 rpms too, and it was STILL pulling strong.
the lambo never looked over at us again, he was PISSED.
