does this tick any of you off? this is the one thing that i really dislike about verizon.  verizon has such a great service and phones(Voyager Smiley) but this really bugs me.  i would probably buy more games and ringtones if it werent for the fact that it costs to browse Angry

I'm gathering from your post, that you don't have Vpak added to your plan. If you do, then it shouldn't be paying anything to browse  the feature. If not , you may want to check it out.  $15 per month isn't too bad for  unlimited internet, text, picture, and video messaging. Not to mention unlimited use of V-cast.

wait you mentioned text in there?  right now i do have unlimited txt, pix, an flix to anyone on any network.  not sure how much a month that exactly is but does the vcast pack include that? if so i would be sooooo happy

Getting a Voyager without the 15.00 vpak is just a recipe for disaster.  Just about everything the phone does will incur data charges without it.

I hope I didn't confuse things, cmw.  If  you already have unlimited text, picture, video and IM, and you're still being charged for browsing V-cast, then you're probably on a 'select' calling plan. Adding the 'Vpak' for $15 per month, will get you unlimited internet' and unlimited access to V-cast video clips and browsing music, games, etc.

If you would consider upgrading to a premium plan, then you would get all of the above, plus unlimited access to mobile e-mail and vznavigator.

So, no, the vpak does not include the unlimited messaging package. the type of voice you have could determine that.

sorry if I  misled on that.

I think getting the Voyager without the premium plan is a mistake.  You get so much for your money it's worth it to change the service.  Plus, if you have an employer's discount, all that stuff you were paying for separately now gets the discount applied.  I'm paying like $63 for everything instead of the $80 it actually costs!  If you add the separate stuff- 40+20+15 you end up paying 75 without navigator or email.  And only the 40 gets the discount.

ok so i might have to look into getting this vpak.  im assuming that it would be whatever im paying now(unlimited txt pix flix) + the $15 Vpak.  ill have to call and see if theres anything else I can do.  thanks for the help

thats y u browse around and you get free ringtones and wallpaper and you will never have to pay anything r get charge for anything and plus u can get almost any ringtone r wallpaper there is thats wat i do and everything is free!!!

The cost to browse these things is very minimal actually, the cost adds up when you download them.  Verizon charges for these things because it puts a strain on the network.  If it didn't do something to make people using the data network contribute to the cost of it then they'd have a SLOWWWWWW data network like ATT.

Just get the vPak or premium plan if it's costing you so much bit I can't really see it costing that much just to browse.  I read somewhere that verizon estimates the megabyte of cost is equal to something like 600 pictures.
