i love how whent he news people ask "Why did you vote for Obama?" the people reply "Cause he's going to make history!"
the only reason a lot of people want him to be president is because he's black (which i have absolutely no problem with, not racist a bit.), and because he's younger than mccain. it's like obama is a fashion statement, and that because all the cool kids like him, you're cool if you like him too. it doens't make sense! unless you know what's really going to happen when he takes over the run the country you live in, i don't think you should go around and support someone. i'm not saying mccain is mr. perfect either, but it does kind of scare me that he's muslim. and also i'm pretty sure that he wasn't born in the u.s. isn't the law that if anyone wanting to run for president, must be born in the u.s of a? it kind of seem like they're bending the rules. and i do feel that a lot of media is biased. on a lot of shows on tv were putting down mccain. it just didn't seem like a fair election. a lot of people are really scared that obama will end up getting this country bombed. and i can't help but worry as well.

There goes the neighborhood
Palin ruined that s*** for McCain. What a folly on his part. I hope he b***h slaps the person that convinced him to choose Palin as his running mate. lmao! Hope Obama can manage to avoid the red necks' bullets long enough to have an impact.
Actually what really ruined it for McCain was his inability to seperate himself from W. When the economy took a nosedive, his financial advisors failed him. He did not have a difinitive plan of attack, and was unable to get himself out of the mire that is George W. Bush.

Obama has the potential to make more changes than McCain.
And if you do some reading, you can see that there are other countries in other parts of the world who feel better about America now that Obama is president - we show that we truly are everything we advertise: we're still hopeful, optimistic, and we believe in opportunities in a time of such bleak crisis in the world.

This was a joke statement, right? I just didn't catch the sarcasm or something? You are bashing people for not knowing why they are voting for someone but you actually believe the next president wasn't born in the U.S? He was born in Hawaii on August 4, 1961. Hawaii became the 50th state in the Union on August 21, 1959. Last time I checked, being born in any of the 50 states makes you a natural born citizen.
McCain was the only one in that race that wasn't born in one of the 50 states...if you want to get down into it.

not true ... yeah SOME people voted for him bc of the fact he was black ... which really pisses me off. i think they should learn about him and it should be for important reasons. this is our country... its messed up. but as far as a fasion statement i dont believe that yes he is younger but he knows alot, he is a very good speaker, he is going to help us change for the good and bring us all closer together. not to mention he has been through alot, and is very expierienced. i dunno i just am glad obama won!!!!!!!

I'm not trying to defend the idiots that actually let anything other than a presidential candidate's beliefs and policies influence their voting decisions...I just can't stand when people start throwing around bulls*** statements when they clearly have no idea what they are talking about. Vote how you want to vote. Just don't make crap up to justify your bashing of other peoples' voting decisions. I mean, you're obviously an idiot if someone just
BEING
Muslim makes you nervous but I still think you should do some research before you start running your mouth. What should make you nervous is if a person is a terrorist. Learn the f***in difference between the two terms you bigots.

I couldn't agree more. The funny thing is in history class I read that people were scared of JFK winning because he was Catholic, that is just dumb.

Wow, you must be looking at what you wrote and reading all of the replies that are being made, and I'm sure you're really wishing you could take it back huh? Or, at least, that's what I figure since that's what I would do if I was you right now...
Do some research next time, figure out what you want to talk about, AND THEN try to make an educated argument. And I don't appreciate your Muslim comment. I don't understand how being a MUSLIM makes someone dangerous? What, am I a walking, talking time bomb now because of my faith? Do you even know what Islam is, what it stands for, or are you buying into the media bulls*** you so dislike?
I really wish people like you were more aware of the global community.

Personally I voted for McCain. I have always liked him. I don't have any problem with Obama as a person, but I don't agree with his politics. BTW, please learn a little more regarding economics. So many people believe that the economy rises and falls based on the President's decisions, and that's simply not true. Consumers, investors, the Federal Reserve, and to some extent Congress have the most power. The President is below all of those influences. Also, the economy didn't tank because of Bush. If you want an example of a President affecting the economy, Clinton actually was the person who made banks start giving out risky loans to lower income people... the thing that started this entire mess.
Now, the stock market can reflect confidence in a President, which hopefully doesn't reflect confident in Obama, seeing as though the Down Jones has dropped nearly 1000 points in the two days since the election.
I am pretty worried right now, but I want nothing more than for Obama supporters to say "I told you so" in four years. The alternative won't help any of us.
