If Kurt's pass was a fumble then why did the ball go forward when the defensive player was smacking the ball backward..And why was his arm clearly moving forward when the ball came out?
He was hit from behind...

Not that it probably would of made a diff, but you never know it most definetely was coming forward and even after the guy was pulling is arm backwards, warner continued his forward arm motion, hence the ball going so far forward. It would of been different had the guy batted the ball, but he pulled warners arm. If warner would of had pass protection he would of at least gotten a through off thow, his o line let him down on that play.

Doesn't look like he was hit from behind to me...He was hit from the side...But his arm was moving forward when he was hit making it an incomplete pass.

First of all, I was rooting for the Cardinals, so there is no pro-Steelers answer to this controversial call.
I don't think it was too hard to see that Kurt Warner's arm wasn't going forward. He did a small pump fake, and he was hit from behind as his arm wasn't going forward. The ball was hit awkwardly, so that it rolled down Warner's arm, hit arm then moved forward, and his forearm pushed the ball forwards. Even though the ball appeared to go forward, it didn't have anything to do whether the ball was released from his hand going forwards, backwards, or neutral.
Even though I was pretty sure that it was a fumble, the play should have been reviewed.

he pumped then was in the process of going forward, he tried to continue to force the ball out even as his arm was being hit. It should of been review for sure, even though I highly doubt the cards would of scored, it would of been at least nice to see them try the play again.

The rules is that if the QB has control of the ball when going forward, then it is an incomplete pass. In that instance, his arm wasn't going forward when he had control. I think it was a pretty likely fumble.

Well since everyone got in what they thought about the incomplete pass/fumble I wanna know what you guys think about this....I can't remember who it was but after a touchdown a Steeler acted as if the ball was a salt shaker and sprikled some in his hands...Using the ball as a prop is a 15 yard penelty...He was not flaged for it...In my opinion thats the one that would have really helped the Cardinals...What does everyone think about this?

yeah I was wondering why that wasn't called also, they also had a play were like five guys did a little choregraphed number near the sidelines, I thought that after 99 when the rams won the superbowl the banned those types of celebrations. The game was great, the referring was absolutely aweful.

Being a Rams fan my whole life the refs not calling this really got to me since they always called anything the Rams did after a touchdown...Oh well...I hope those refs get sued for not calling the game right..It was a great game especially since the Cardinals had a little bit of a disadvantage.
